United Living is a dynamic environment with a real team spirit, progressive in terms of training and innovation. Individual potential is realised at United Living, investing in employees through apprenticeships, graduate intake and bespoke training plans.
It is refreshing that we see new starters integrating into teams and being educated through their more experienced colleagues. The apprentices on our project have become key team members and I am constantly impressed with the progress they are making and the value they add, we promote and ask questions attitude and welcome initiative, our future is your future

I joined United Living just over three years ago. For me the key differential that United Living possesses is the trust and responsibility it gives their employees to perform their role and to the best of their ability. There are guidelines to work within but these are not restrictive and the business leaders give the support and freedom to better your career and your knowledge base. Employees have embraced this culture and their want to do well has had a very positive impact on the performance of the company as a whole.

Working for United Living not only allows me to develop and progress my career, but the family feel within the company is like no other I have worked with previously. The directors are very approachable and have an open door policy. I truly believe it is the people within United Living that make this a great place to work, in which we share a common goal in achieving successful projects for our clients

I’ve worked at United Living for 18 months. It’s the first company I’ve worked in, that cares about their employees. Being a woman and a foreigner in the industry is not always easy, however at United Living you’re not just a payroll number, you are treated as an individual, with respect.
Even though the work can be stressful sometimes, it’s great knowing you have the full support of your management and other team members. This is crucial in your personal and professional development.

I have been at United Living for over 2 ½ years in the Refurbishment South division.
Our team spirit is a great asset, everyone works together to achieve an excellent service for our clients.
Throughout the team there is a willingness to assist and support our colleagues to ensure we can all succeed and also enjoy our work.
Community is at the heart of what we do and we aim to leave a sustainable legacy wherever we operate by providing local initiatives, employment and training.

After a twenty year career in community development and regeneration, I’m finally using the experience that I have gained developing partnerships to support my role in Wales as the Community Benefits Coordinator for the region. I’ve only been in post a short while, but I can already see that United Living really want to live up to their commitments to supporting the communities that we work in and developing our own USP in today’s competitive market.

Working for United Living is one of the best career choices I have made so far, they really care about the people they employ and actively encourage career development. Having joined as part of their Graduate Programme, I have experienced first-hand how much United Living invests in their employees; through study support, continuous development (training) and mentorship.

I started on a Central Services Rotation, spending time with four of the business’ support functions (Marketing, People Services, Procurement, and Finance). I found procurement to be an exciting area of the business and United Living have supported my growth and transition from a Graduate Trainee to being a member of the Procurement team – all of which would not have been possible without the company investing in me.

Working in the construction industry was never something I imagined myself doing, now I can’t imagine doing anything different. The variety of people we deal with on a day-to-day basis and the rewarding work we do makes it all the more worthwhile. Every day is different and every day I’m reminded of the great work we do at United Living.

Becoming a Marketing Graduate Trainee through the GEM Programme at United Living was the best possible move after university life I could’ve made. The graduate programme has given me many opportunities to meet new people while discovering a whole new world of construction. My role within marketing is extremely sociable, varied and has enabled me to hone in on my English Language skills, which my degree was, and pursue my desired career path in marketing. The company United Living itself, is one with values which it actually abides to and carries out, creating a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.

Working for United Living is like working for an extended family. I work with a fantastic team who make my working days much more enjoyable. I have worked as an assistant management accountant for almost 3 years and United Living have given me the opportunity to develop my career within finance and assist me through my ACCA studies and exams, not only providing me with support, but offering me a varied role and tasks to keep my job relevant to my career aspirations. I look forward to continuing my development within United Living

The people are what make United Living a really great place to work and the leadership are committed to developing staff at all levels, always encouraging you to become the best person you can. You always feel valued and supported at United Living. We get the opportunity to work on some wonderful projects with an interesting array of clients and partners. At the end of the day you really feel like you’ve made a difference and left a lasting legacy for future generations.
